Engine oils
The oil that goes in engines — cars, pickups, semis, equipment. Full synthetic protects best; a blend is the middle; conventional is basic. The numbers below are thickness grades — your oil cap or manual names yours.

Hydraulic fluids
For machines that lift or press using fluid power — car lifts, presses, digger arms. AW-46 is the middle, most common grade. Zinc-free options for jobs near water or soil.

Gear oils
Thick oil for gears — axles, differentials, manual transmissions, gearboxes. GL-4 and GL-5 are the two common types; your manual says which.

Greases
The thick stuff that goes in a grease gun — for bearings, joints, and hinges. NLGI 2 on the labels below just means standard thickness. Food-safe options available.

Coolants & antifreeze
Antifreeze for radiators. Pre-mixed 50/50 is ready to pour; concentrate you mix with water yourself. Newer trucks usually take a long-life type.
